Counterexample Poetics

My poem Timepiece is now available at http://www.counterexamplepoetics.com/2010/02/john-sibley-williams.html!! Or below ;)

Timepiece

Iron sky, grinding clouds,
piecemeal memories broad and porous
worked over again upon the loom.

Clockwork of sunset-
still my feet and still
edgeless night.
I am tomorrow’s rearview promise-
more canvass
more canvass more dreams
more time to listen to my song
misinterpreting each note.

1 comment:

  1. I cast tin cans to the clogged sky
gleaming with the dregs of memories
The rain splatters the moldy streets
with cinders and scraps of my sparsity
